The experienced, friendly staff at the Eco Centre are passionate about the values of nature-based learning in people’s lives and encourage everyone to have fun outdoors. We promote positive experiences for adults & children of all ages across a wide range of activities at our picturesque outdoor facility.

Our aim is to provide an environment that enables a sense of well-being for all.

Developed and run by members of the local community to offer a range of activities for people of all ages & abilities, The Eco Centre Skegness is a 14-acre former landfill site on the outskirts of Skegness offering bespoke training, education, family activities, birthday parties, corporate events, parties & camping breaks during the daytime, evenings and weekends throughout the year. Staff are present whenever needed throughout the daytime and evenings. Family, Pre-school, Primary, Secondary & Post Compulsory education/development sessions are tailored to your individual or group needs. Adult training courses & group activities have been designed to offer preparation for work, upskilling across many different subject areas and confidence-building opportunities for all sectors of the community.

Due to Safeguarding guidelines and the nature of our work with children and vulnerable adults, we expect all individuals, families, groups, volunteers and contractors to contact us before attending the Eco Centre . Please contact us to book your appointment before dropping by (unless you’ve pre-cooked one of our events or activities). We look forward to seeing you soon.

Adult Education

We offer a wide range of courses from 6 to 25 hours in length that are fully funded by Lincolnshire County Council. We offer every course free of charge for people over 19 years of age. They are developed & suitable for people of all abilities and run at times to suit the needs of the individual or group.

volunteering

We have many different volunteering opportunities available throughout the week and we aim to offer exciting and interesting opportunities based around the needs of the volunteer & at times suited to you. Involvement could be for 2 hours a month or 2 days per week, it’s entirely up to you.

Eco-Wellness

The Eco-Wellness Project reaches out to people of all ages & abilities suffering from stress, anxiety or general poor mental health. Community-based innovative indoor & outdoor activities. It improves your well-being & physical health, your feeling of self-belief, motivation, pride and allows you to feel less isolated.

The Move Project

The MOVE Project is a Building Better Opportunities project aiming to help those people furthest away from employment to identify, address and overcome barriers to finding paid work.
It brings together a strong network of 24 local third sector organisations and colleges to build on existing employability services.

The Ark Project

The ARK project (Acts of Random Kindness) was developed during Covid-19 to allow local people. Our volunteers and others to become involved in community support activities. Some of the things we have done have been picking over 400 bunches of Daffodils and taking them to local front-line workers, from nurseries, our local hospital, nursing and care homes and many other organisations who carried on during the pandemic.

Educational Visits

School in the Woods. Are you looking to escape the classroom for a one-off visit or arrange a regular programme that boosts children’s progress over a term or whole school year?

Family Sessions

Our Lottery funded’ ‘Flourishing Families’ project is enabling us to provide an innovative programme of activities at the Eco Centre Skegness and out in the community. We believe that children learn so much when they are outdoors – gaining a sense of freedom to explore, learn through play and make friends in a friendly and positive environment with their trusted adults.

Eco Parties

Our Eco parties happen throughout the year and are the best way of getting together for a memorable experience that will live with you and your whole family for years. Eco Centre staff lead fun children’s birthday parties, aimed at having fun and relaxing outdoors as well as team social events for young people and adults of all ages. The overall theme of the party is up to you and we’ll develop bespoke activities to suit.
